The Opportunity
A rapidly growing Southern California trust and estate litigation firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to take ownership of high-value matters and play a leadership role within the practice.
This position is ideal for an experienced litigator who enjoys strategy, courtroom work, and mentoring junior attorneys, and who is looking for a clear path toward long-term leadership and partnership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead trust and estate litigation matters from intake through resolution or trial
- Develop and execute case strategy with minimal oversight
- Draft and argue substantive motions
- Take and defend depositions; prepare witnesses and experts
- Handle court appearances, mediations, and settlement negotiations
- Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and support staff
- Collaborate with partners on firm-wide litigation strategy and growth
Qualifications
- Active California Bar license in good standing
- 7-10+ years of litigation experience
- 2+ years of focused trust and estate litigation experience
- First- or second-chaired multiple trust/probate trials
- Deep working knowledge of the California Probate Code, CCP, and Evidence Code
- Strong legal writing, courtroom presence, and client communication skills
- Comfortable running cases independently and leading teams
